Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has been officially rated by the ESRB for both Windows PC and PS5. It confirms the remaster’s existence after several years of speculation and alleged leaks, and also comes conveniently timed with the launch of the PS5 Pro.
Seven years after its launch on PS4, Horizon Zero Dawn looks like it will return to current consoles and PCs as Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. The game was accidentally leaked by her ESRB Ratingwhich details how the title will be coming to PC and PS5. There’s nothing fresh or noteworthy beyond the inclusion of a PC release in this rating, believe me, I read it all with anticipation, but it seems possible, given the PS5 Pro launches in overdue 2024, that the game will be part of Sony’s marketing for the fresh console.
A New Dawn
Horizon Zero Dawn The game originally released in 2017 on PS4 and quickly gained a devoted following of fans who enjoy the ideas it presents – tribal human cultures living in a post-apocalyptic world full of advanced animal-like machines that are an integral part of the ecosystem.
Rumors of a remaster have been circulating for a few years now, and fans seem to be open to it, as the game was attractive on PS4, so the prospect of it looking even more impressive on PS5 and PC is incredibly enticing. I absolutely love it Horizon Forbidden Westwhich was released for PS5 in 2022 and looked stunning, so I can’t wait to see some actual footage Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered when the time is right.
Considering that the PS5 Pro is scheduled to launch in November 2024, it is likely that Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be the game the company uses to promote it. After all, the whole point of the PS5 Pro is to make games look as good as possible, and since it’s a title from a first-party studio, there’s no better way to show that off.
Of course, we only have a rating for the game. We don’t have details about a release date or a list of improvements and fresh features. It’s just as likely that it won’t release with PS5 Pro, especially since another game in the series, Lego Horizon Adventuresis set to be released in 2024, and we still don’t know the release date.
We’ll have to wait and see what Sony does on both fronts, but it’s vital to note that every game will also work on current PS5 consoles. There’s no need to buy the fresh $700 PS5 Pro unless we’re told it’s required to play certain games, or that the games will have certain features that are exclusive to the newer device.
