Honkai Star Rail’s Yunli Kit may look familiar if you’ve spent time with a certain other 5-star Destruction character, and the choice Yunli Materials is also familiar. Since she’s another Xianzhou character, Yunli uses the Artifex and Regret of Infinite Ochema items for her Traces, so if you’ve been playing for a while, you may already have much of what you need.
Our Star Rail Yunli guide explains how Yunli’s skill set works and what materials she needs to reach max levels.
Honkai Star Rail Yunli Kit and Materials
Honkai Star Rail Yunli Kit
Yunli’s kit is similar to Clara’s, with follow-up counters as her primary feature, though Yunli has a few additional self-help skills that support her deal with incoming attacks more effectively. Almost all of her utility comes from the counters and empowered counters she performs after using her ultimate, but unlike Clara, Yunli’s ultimate requires clever timing to work well. It only lasts for one ally or enemy turn, and while Yunli still counters whenever she is hit, her basic counters deal significantly less damage than the empowered ones.
Yunli’s Basic Attack: Galespin Summersault
Yunli’s basic attack deals normal, minor damage to a single target, equal to 50 percent of her Attack at level one, and 110 percent at level seven.
Yunli’s Skill: Blade Quake
Yunli regains her own HP equal to 20/30 percent of her Attack, plus 50/200. She also deals Physical damage to a single target equal to 60/120 percent of her Attack, and enemies near that target take Physical damage equal to 30/60 percent of her Attack.
It’s not the most powerful ability, but Yunli takes the pressure off your healer by restoring her own HP. Using her abilities also gives her some energy, which powers the most crucial features of her kit.
Yunli’s Talent: Flashforge
When an enemy attacks Yunli, she regenerates 15 energy and launches a counterattack against the enemy that hit her. The counterattack deals 60/120 percent of Yunli’s attack’s physical damage and hits adjacent enemies for 30/60 percent physical damage. If Yunli has no enemies to counterattack for some reason, she will instead attack a random enemy.
Yunli ultimate: Earthbind, Etherbreak
Yunli consumes 120 Energy – her maximum Energy capacity is 240 – Taunts all enemies and enters Parry until the end of the next ally or enemy’s turn. Yunli’s next counterattack deals 120 percent more Critical Damage and her counterattack becomes Intuit: Cull.
Intuit: Cull deals Physical damage equal to 132/220 percent of Yunli’s Attack to a single enemy, and 66/110 percent of her Attack to adjacent enemies. Yunli also deals six random instances of damage equal to 43/72 percent of her Attack.
If there is no attack that triggers Intuit: Cull while Parry Status is busy, Yunli uses Intuit: Slash instead. Intuit: Slash has the same modifiers as Intuit: Cull, but Yunli’s random splash attacks do not occur.

Yunli Technique: Rear Priority
Yunli gains the Ward effect for 20 seconds. If she enters combat while Ward is busy, she will begin combat using Intuit: Cull, dealing 80 percent more damage than normal.
Yunli tracks priority
Yunli’s Ultimate is her most crucial skill, so it should get the most attention the fastest. Her talent is useful, but the damage it deals is comparable to her skill. Since Yunli’s skill restores her HP, focus on that first, then her talent.

How to Get the Artifex Module, Artifex Gear, and Artifex Gyreheart
Artifex Items to come from Enemies Ingenium and Auromaton in Xianzhou Luofu and probably other regions of Xianzhou as well. They will also drop from most Herta’s Simulated Universe stages, with higher level items dropping as you reach higher Equilibrium levels.
The easiest way to get Artifex items is to send characters on daily quests. If you set the length to max and pick two suitable characters, you’ll get about a few dozen each day. Throw lower-tier items into the synthesizer to get higher-tier items without having to grind as much.
Where to find an IPC work permit
IPC work permit comes from Standing Shadow in the Park Clock Studios. This is a recent Penacon ascension item for physical characters, so Boothill and Robin also need it. Make sure to plan ahead if you want to level up either of them as well.
The easiest way to earn credits is to get one from the Golden Calyx. Remember, they cost fuel, so you need to balance these challenges with other level-up activities.
