There were many emotions related to the presence of an empty knight: Silksong demo on the first floor of the Gamescom show this year, both in Xbox and Nintendo cabins. And according to all the demo account, it seems quite great. Our own preview said that it is a “work of playable art that is as cool to wield as watching.” But some superfans from Silksong, who hope for a up-to-date story, up-to-date bosses or up-to-date content that will reveal themselves in this version of the demo, can be a bit disappointed, because the Gamescom demo is the same demo six years ago at E3 2019. But shinier.
For the first time we noticed this by reading our demo preview from today next to our 2019 preview. This is more noticeable when it looks at the video material from 2019, but both demonstration versions cover the same areas – the early game Moss Grotto and subsequent deep docti. They also include the same meetings and bosses. We were able to comb other materials published by other people from Gamescom and Yup, it looks like an updated version of the same demo.
To be clear, it is not necessarily a bad thing. If so, it shows how far the game has come in six years. Looking at similar clips from both demonstrations, and there are very clear signs of Poland. Lighting and background have been adapted, the platforms have been slightly moved. Fans even noticed The most, the slightest change in dialogue between two demonstrations. No wonder that no area has undergone huge changes in content for six years. If these two levels were ready for the highest time in 2019, they were probably the closest “ready” at the time when the Cherry team was ready, and therefore he would not need programmers to spend years, improving them infinitely. And for what is worth, for the first time we saw the game on both the Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 series consoles, because the E3 2019 demo was only on Nintendo Switch 1.
The only real disappointment is that we don’t really see any up-to-date content after such a long expectation – no up-to-date bosses, enemies, characters or history. So everyone who wants to search the up-to-date demo so that the clues that Silksong will be, when it finally seemed, probably will not come up with many that we do not yet know.
Still, this will probably not be necessary. The Cherry team announced a advertisement for tomorrow, and after the irritation rash around Gamescom and the demo ultimately re -appearing after a six -year cocoon, it seems likely that the release date is inevitable. (Jedwab) We will not have to search curiosities on the material soon to get the crumbs of up-to-date silk information. In the end we will be able to play a long -term continuation of Hollow Knight for ourselves.
