Hisense C2 Ultra Projector Review

Published:

When you think about a projector, a chance that you can imagine a dim, awkward box that only works when you darken the room and sit very calmly. Hisense C2 Ultra turns this stereotype on the head. It is compact, impressively radiant and undeniably ambitious-packs the 4K triple-laser engine in a mini projector who wants to be your TV, game display and a portable home cinema, all in one.

Is this projector worth USD 2,500 worth noise? After a few weeks of games, binging and life with him, the answer is mainly so – with several reservations.

. Hisense C2 Ultra It is smaller than I expected that something can be scared to a 300-inch projection. With just 11 inches width and below 14 pounds is surprisingly portable. The harvest chassis is not flashy, but it is functional and has some charm of science fiction. His most noteworthy structural feature is the integrated rotary stand in the gimbal style, which ensures 360 ° horizontal rotation and 135 ° vertical tilt. It is a manual system, so you will have to physically adapt it every time, but it is sleek, stable and incredibly pliant for various room configurations.

Even cooler is that the base of the stands is JBL powered speakers: two 10 W and 20W subwoofer drivers. The sound quality is really shocking for something in this size. It easily fills the medium room and seems to come from the screen itself – not at the back. This is not Dolby Atmos, but it is more than enough to watch freely, and even engaging games. I rarely pushed him with 20%volume.

At the back of C2, Ultra offers a lot of ports: two HDMI 2.1 (with EARC and ALLM), two USB 3.0, Ethernet, AV in and Digital Audio Out. Wireless, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 is also calculated. Regardless of whether you send a stream, game or connect peripheral, you sorted.

And here C2 Ultra begins to justify its premium price. The Trichroma Hisense Trichroma engine provides stunning colors-110% colorful BT.2020 spaces. Most TV sets can’t even get close. Add 3000 Ansi Lumens of Brightness, and you have a projector that keeps your own even in moderately lit rooms. Yes, it would aid the right screen of resistance to the environment, but it works surprisingly well on my ordinary painted wall.

The 4K resolution is edged to a razor to about 150 inches, with decreasing phrases. Of course, black on the projector can never deeply, especially in radiant rooms, but they are respected. In a dim room it really shines – especially with HDR content. The projector supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+and HLG, and the difference is noticeable. It is colorful, film and basic improvement if you come from the budget of 4K TV or a basic projector.

There is a delicate rainbow effect-Typical side effects of DLP technology-but noticeable only for some and only in terms of high content content. Personally, I only caught it once or twice.

The configuration is dead straight: connect, direct it to the wall and you are turned off. There is an automatic Keystone correction and manual enlargement. Keystone Correction works extremely well (better than on PX3 Hisense), but reduces the noticeable image, so the positioning of the projector well is still the best. This can make a slightly awkward configuration of the living room, but in a dedicated space is perfect.

The fan’s noise is minimal and never distracts attention. I decided that it is only noticeable up close during hefty scenes or still moments during shows. Even then, the excellent exit of the speakers easily drowns it.

This is not just a projector for film lovers – it is also built for players. With a certificate “designed for Xbox”, C2 Ultra has 15 ms input delay at 4K/60 Hz and as low as 12 ms at 1080p/240 Hz. It also supports an automatic low delay mode (Allm) and yes – makes a real difference.

I tested it with my PS5, where God of War looks breathtaking and flows smoothly. Destiny 2 is a climax, offering liquid and responsive gameplay even at high refresh rates. Although I could not push the full potential of 240 Hz using the RTX 50 series laptop, I saw a game with sleek butter without problems with view or strange delay problems. Just a gigantic, addictive action.

In Australia, C2 Ultra runs to Vidaa OS Hisense. It is immaculate, brisk and fortunately lightweight. You get basic applications – Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+ – but the application store is not as broad as Google TV or year. However, if you are in the USA or Europe, your model will be sent from Google TV, which I would prefer. Despite this, Vidaa supports the basics well and does not bother.

Buy if …

✅ You want a versatile gigantic screen: If you want a gigantic sensation of home cinema, which is basic to configure anywhere and is just as humorous in the case of movies as in the case of games, it is complex to beat.

✅ Looking for a portable power of the projector: Beamer for those who need a surprisingly talented projector who sounds great, travels well and connects with almost everything outside the box.

Don’t buy if …

❌ Simplicity tv is your atmosphere: You prefer TVs in plug-and-play that will not move anywhere and will work in any lighting conditions.

❌ You are a purist: You require very deep black from the display and you are not interested in investing in projector screens.

In the background there is a bit of lightweight artificial intelligence to obtain a suggestion of the content and control of the device, but there is nothing. Voice assistants, integration of an bright home and synchronization of many devices are here if you are in the Hisense ecosystem. Otherwise, it mainly allows you to quickly get to your programs – I appreciate.

Hisense C2 Ultra is a really impressive mini projector that gives the promise of versatility on the massive screen. From colorful 4K visualizations after surprisingly great sound and responsive games – this is a unique device that matches the spaces where established TVs cannot.

This is not perfect: without a motorized rack, without a tied tripod, and the lack of black at OLED level can be for some killers. But it is also one of the most affable for the user and pleasant projectors that I tested. If you’ve ever wanted to play in a 200-inch ceiling or set up a cinema in the yard without the need for a forklift, it can be your dream machine.
