During today’s presentation, Beyond the Strand, Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions gave us an official first look at the recent animated film set in the world of death. His name is Death Stranding: Mosquito I, according to Kojim and the director of animation Hiroshi Miyamoto, follows the story of a guy who sucks.

We looked at the fragment of Mosquito’s animation, showing a man with something stuck on his face, who has strange tentacles from it. He is in the water at the beginning of the clip, swims and approaches something that is tough to find in the shape of a human. But in the second part of the clip he is on land, in time, he fights with a guy in a suit, still with a sticky thing on his face.

That’s all! Who is this guy and what does it all mean? I have no idea! We learn from a further conversation with Kojima and Miyamoto that the word “mosquito” refers to the main character who can suck … something. Not blood! Just something. We’ll find out later.
