InnoGames, creators of Forge of Empires and Rise of Cultures, have revealed their latest game: Heroes of History. This time travel strategy game will let you recruit various celebrated historical figures from around the world, traveling through time with German physicist Albert Einstein.

Like other historically inspired games, you’ll not only recruit celebrated figures from different times, but you’ll also experience an epic story and build settlements in different eras along the way. As InnoGames says, you’ll work with Einstein and his time-traveling forces to defeat evil and restore our broken timeline.

Rebuilding the Empire

While InnoGames’ Forge of Empires may or may not be fondly remembered by some, there’s no denying that this is a studio with pedigree. And Heroes of History certainly seems like a novel take on the idea of recruiting historical figures to fight by your side.

While history buffs may dismiss the appearance of mythical figures like Hercules or Medusa, there are just as many oddballs, like Abraham Lincoln or a figure reminiscent of Marie Curie, that we think are worth giving a little attention to.
