Uber Uniques are considered to be the rarest and most powerful items in Diablo IV and will be completely reworked. Blizzard introduced how each element changes in the upcoming Infernal Hordes season to buff gear across all builds. They will also receive a modern name.

The first thing to know about Uber Uniques in Season 5 is that they’ll now be called Mythic Uniques. The second is that each of them will receive major stat changes to ensure they can compete with the best Masterworked gear and feel meaningful and satisfying no matter what class you’re playing or what build you’re running.

Here is a list of the eight currently changed Uber Uniques that have a miniature chance of dropping in Nightmare Dungeons or can be crafted with Resplendent Sparks. You can see the full changes in the slideshow above:

  • Tyrael’s Power
  • Ahavarion, the Spear of Lycander
  • The Face of Andariel
  • Herald of Doom
  • Harlequin Coat of Arms
  • Selig’s Melted Heart
  • Starless Sky Ring
  • Grandpa

The Infernal Hordes season kicks off on August 6, adding a modern wave-based mode, several more storylines, and a slew of fixes to classes, XP farming, and just about everything else in the game. It’s a major content update that’s set to carry players into the upcoming Vessel of Hatred expansion Diablo IV in October and is the result of a major loot overhaul undertaken just last season.

More than a year after its release, this loot-based action RPG is arguably better than it ever was, even if it’s still not what some players were hoping for, and may never be thanks to the state-of-the-art battle pass-based live service design. It’s still an excellent “turn off your brain and grind” game, and now’s as good a time as any to start building a character for Vessel of Hatred. Diablo IV is also free with a paid Game Pass subscription on Xbox and PC, though those games have seen their prices enhance as well.
