Black Friday deals can be tumultuous, but as a PS5 owner, it’s the one time of the year where I really get excited about the deals. Not just to save money, but because that’s when I’ll finally get to play the games that actually deserve my time and attention. If you’re making a list of must-play games or just looking for one great reason to turn your console back on, these three PS5 games deserve a place in your library.
Silent Hill 2 – $50 $30
Silent Hill 2 is the kind of horror that sticks in your head, and I felt it from the first time I walked through the fog. The remake delivers an eerie silence with only footsteps and distant crackles of unchanging. I love how the game makes me feel tense instead of pushing me forward. Even simply exploring a corridor sometimes feels like a test of nerve. The combat is clunky in a deliberate, almost human-like way. If you want a horror game that will stay with you even after you turn off your PS5, I recommend this game.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach – $70 $50

When I delved into Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on my PS5, I was hooked from the first hour. I’m drawn to it because it doesn’t feel like a typical action game. The world feels immense and unpredictable, with terrain hazards and enemies that force you to carefully plan your every move. Improved combat and smoother movement add weight to each delivery. I appreciate that the story feels heavier as each mission carries real emotion and the sense of connection and isolation hits harder than before, making this sequel one of the most engaging games I’ve ever played.
God of War Ragnarok – $70 $20

In my opinion, God of Ragnarok is one of the most complete games on PS5. The way the sun cuts through the snow-covered trees, the way the snow crunches under my shoes, makes the world feel alive. The combat is brutal in the best way possible. Each strike of the Leviathan Axe, each strike of the Blades of Chaos hits with weight, allowing me to feel the rage. I began exploring the ruins and forests long after the main fight ended, drawn in by the lore and secrets. What really drew me in was the story. The bond between Kratos and Atreus is raw and real, and their relationship gives purpose to every fight.
No matter which game you choose on Black Friday, each of these games will remind you why owning a PS5 still feels special.
