While most Hell Divers 2 players are eagerly awaiting the game’s 60-day update to see if it will bring back lost fans and make the game as enjoyable as it was on launch day, but they still have a job to do. The Second Galactic War is underway, and we need to get back to strategizing how to deal with it.
At the time of writing, the current General Order on Hell Divers 2 players need to kill 100 million Warriors and 45 million Bile Spitters on Terminid planets. This shouldn’t be too arduous, as we as a community have slaughtered 100 million Terminids in just 3 hours. However, there is a secondary element of Major Order that has split the community in half, and they are making no progress on either front.
While players could focus all their attention on the Terminid objective, the secondary objective is too tempting. If they manage to liberate Tarsh and Mastia, two worlds currently controlled by Automaton, they will receive the Orbital Napalm Barrage Stratagem. I’m sure it’s only for the duration of Major Order, but that’s beside the point. I and many other players want to get this Stratagem so they can set the Terminid worlds on fire and manage the Major Order objectives.
Unfortunately, not everyone Hell Divers 2 The player wants the same thing. In fact, it seems that some players are not even aware that they can get this incredibly powerful Stratagem to lend a hand us clear the rest of Major Order.
Three days have passed and Tarsh and Mastia still need liberation. There are 8,000 Helldivers in the Automaton system trying to capture this Stratagem, but there are 12,000 in the Terminid system who are simply crushing Major Order.
They’ve worked so well together in the past that we’ve managed to get Game Master Joel to bend the rules Hell Divers 2 in the past. The community worked together so well that they actively avoided Stratagems and inadvertently saved the game’s fictional children from extinction.
But now when I log in to play or check Hell Divers 2 subredditit looks like they couldn’t plan for a pub squash. The problem is twofold, in my opinion. First, there’s a real lack of coordination because there are fewer players in the game. This is a symptom of many waiting to see what the upcoming gigantic update will do to balance the game and make it fun to play again.

The second problem is fairly basic to understand. I fall into this trap myself sometimes. Killing Terminids is just too much fun. Terminid missions seem easier, especially if you have an incendiary weapon. They explode in a satisfying fountain of green blood, and they don’t have red lasers that lithe up the screen so much you can’t see, or flying drones that set up camp for your reinforcements.
I understand the traps that we fall into as a community. Honestly, all I want to do is fight bugs and have fun. But we need to get out of this hole where we’re constantly passing each other by and just start working together again.
With just over a day left until the end of the current Grand Order, I hope that will be enough Hell Divers 2 fans step in and liberate the Automaton planets, giving players the ability to set an entire planet on fire with napalm and burn insects faster than ever.
This strategy is more than just a bomb with more fire than you’ve ever seen Hell Divers 2. It’s a symbol of our determination. This Major Order is intentionally awkward, forcing players into the two camps they’ve always been divided between: Bug Divers and Bot Divers. Right now, players need to be Helldivers if they want to be in good shape for the September 17, 2024 Major Update.
