Heihachi Mishima, a major character who seemingly died at the end of Tekken 7, is back! He will return to Tekken 8 as part of the game’s current DLC pass and will be released this fall.

The announcement was made by director Katsuhiro Harada and producer Michael Murray, along with a few in-game cutscenes and recent plot details. All of this suggests that additional story content will be coming with the game’s launch.

Both Harada and Murray also stated that Lidia, another recent character in Tekken 8, will be released on July 22 (US) and July 23 (ROW). In addition to Lidia, all players will have access to the photo mode and the seaside stage.

On top of that, the Tekken World Tour 2024 Finals will be held in Japan this December, ending the year-long Tekken competition. Book your tickets now if you want to watch some IRL Tekken over the course of four days.
