The Game Awards hosted another game from genDesign, studio ICO, creator of Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian, Fumito Ueda.
The game, which doesn’t have a name yet, seems to embody much of the tone and feel of Ueda’s work, albeit viewed through a sci-fi lens.
Accompanied by an ominous message ordering the evacuation of the region surrounding ground zero, and then a countdown to cataclysm, there is a hasty climb up the massive body, which leads to a giant mech head, which fortunately manages to launch itself and detach from its body before the brutal storm arrives.
That’s all we’re doing right now, but it’s great to see the creators of some of the groundbreaking PS2 and PS3 games coming back to work on something equally iconic.
