Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions not only will it take us to Hogwarts, but it will also allow us to play Quidditch at other Trimagiard schools Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Coinciding with their locations, the fantasy sport will also have two stadiums based on magical regions.
This PlayStation Blog revealed the inclusion of schools in Quidditch Championsand we see their Quidditch pitches for the first time.
“Of course, much of the inspiration came directly from Goblet of Fire film that gives us the only visual insight into the students and culture of two of the largest wizarding schools in Europe,” said artistic director Farren Fox. “It left us wondering how the students from these schools would approach Quidditch?”
Beauxbatons has a magnificent, picturesque arena overlooking the French Pyrenees. It looks prestigious with its “perfectly trimmed” grass, swimming pools surrounding the arena, and ornate stands for the crowd watching the game. It seems like the perfect stage for the Triwizard match in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.
As you might expect, Durmstrang is the complete opposite. Based in Northern Europe, it is set in a harsh, cool, Nordic landscape, but has a nice depiction of the Northern Lights overhead. The action takes place at night, with flames flickering around the pitch, mountains in the distance, and an epic Nordic ship floating on the water.
Of course, Viktor Krum and Fleur Delacour will be involved in the teams of these schools. Krum may be challenging to defeat, as he is the Seeker of the Bulgarian national team. In the game’s career mode, as you strive for the Triwizard Quidditch Cup, you can choose Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, or Durmstrang.
