Intense survival FPS game built for VR
Into The Radius is a grueling, hardcore VR survival shooter set in a mysterious, supernatural wasteland known as the Pechorsk Anomaly. This droughty, surreal landscape is rife with mysterious and deadly anomalies. To uncover its secrets and return home with loot, players must carefully manage their gear and apply their tactical skills and situational awareness to overcome, outwit, or outrun the various dangers in Radius.
In addition to using a variety of weapons with realistic handling, different ammo, attachments, and upgrades, you must pristine and maintain your firearms to ensure they perform well in the field. Neglecting this maintenance will put you at risk, so be sure to check their status between missions.
Physical interactions with objects are also a cornerstone of the Into The Radius experience. We have taken great care to make players feel like they are truly entering the terrifying world we have created. You will interact with paper maps and compasses, audio tapes and food as if you were actually using them in the physical world. Never before has survival gameplay felt so realistic!
New Features for PS VR2
The PS VR2 version of the game will feature the entire original experience with over 20 hours of gameplay, but we’re also working difficult to ensure this edition truly reaches its full potential. That means a silky, native 90FPS experience that leverages the power of the PS5 console, combined with eye-tracked foveated rendering to achieve the best balance between performance and visual fidelity.
This also means we’re taking advantage of a lot of great features that are unique to PS VR2. Press the adaptive triggers on the Sense controllers for vigorous feedback when firing weapons, and feel the impact of enemy attacks with the headset’s haptics. These are features we’ve never seen in a game before, and we’re really excited to see how players react to the added immersion they provide.
You can also immerse yourself deeper into the world of Into The Radius with mesmerizing 3D audio that truly roots you in the wasteland. Never before has the Pechorsk Anomaly sounded so disturbingly convincing!
For the first time on PlayStation
When you combine all of these features, you end up with one of our favorite versions of the game and an incredibly immersive way to explore the wasteland. In fact, we’ve been dreaming of bringing Into The Radius to PlayStation for years, having worked on the project for over five years!
