Halo confirmed for PS5, remake of the first game will be released in 2026

Fight through the original missions, newly rebuilt with improved level design, updated cinematics and improved wayfinding, refined to maintain the pace without losing the wonder, tension and heroism of the original.

There will be novel visual effects, cinematics and animations, as well as a remastered soundtrack and novel voice acting. What’s more, a sprint option will be added to the gameplay, as well as nine iconic weapons from the entire series, including the Energy Sword, the Battle Rifle and the Needle Rifle. You can also aim this weapon down your sights in another gameplay improvement over the Xbox original.
