GTA Online on PC is finally getting its long-awaited next-gen console improvements next year, and another major update brings recent heists featuring everyone’s favorite sailor

Honestly, you can never have enough physical attacks in GTA Online. This will never be possible. Those who own half of Los Santos at this point always need more to grab, and the game’s December update looks to provide just that, and Rockstar has some good news for PC gamers as well.

It’s been a lovely last few months for those who enjoy playing high-profile online crimes on the right PC, to be forthright, and the addition of an anti-cheat feature in September has helped provide a little respite from ending up in a lobby with an undefeated modder. It also did it just in time for everyone and their mom to leave killing zombies also in North Yankton.

“The infamous Darnell Bros. clothing factory is under new management,” Rockstar writes about the December update in its latest community update“With the help of helmsman Paul and a former FIB officer turned independent contractor, you will transform it into a nest of covert infiltration operations where you can launch a series of exciting and strategic new heists.”

Yes, this is the same clothing factory where Michael, Lester and company plan a robbery of a jewelry store and a robbery of the FIB building during the main story of the base game, and then set the factory on fire. So, um, you might have to scrape together some cash for a little overhaul, depending on how Rockstar handles the timeline on this occasion. One thing we know for sure: the update will include plenty of other things to do, including recent vehicles, shipping missions, and a collectible scanner upgrade for the Terrorbyte.

Towards the end of the post, Rockstar also announced the next update coming in 2025, writing that it “plans to bring the highly anticipated GTA Online features from PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S to the PC platform in the new year.” The differences between playing GTA Online on next-gen and previous-gen consoles mainly revolve around graphical, performance and audio improvements, although there are also a few additional vehicle modifications available in Hao’s Special Works store.

So it’ll be nice when PC users finally get up to date with these consoles, because being stuck with a last-gen version of a game on an extremely pricey Pentagon-spec ray-traced machine is always frustrating with colorful lights to illuminate and the entire village.
