After more than a decade, Rockstar Games will finally release a sequel Grand Theft Auto 5open-world crime series that has sold over 200 million copies across multiple console generations. In 2023, GTA fans got their first official look at Grand Theft Auto 6 in the form of a trailer.
We already knew Some Details about GTA6after an unprecedented leak of the game in 2022, but the first trailer for the game revealed everything. The game is full of street-level mayhem, including illegal street racing, grocery store robberies, alligator fights, and general Florida weirdness. The trailer also shows its two protagonists committing all sorts of petty crimes.

When GTA6 descend?
Rockstar has not yet announced a release date. GTA6but publisher Take-Two Interactive has narrowed the release window: Fall 2025.

Its last major release, Red Dead Redemption 2has been publicly delayed three times. Where is GTA6 take place?
Grand Theft Auto 6 will take place in Vice City, a fictional version of GTA Miami. This location was previously explored in 2002 Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and its 2006 prequel Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Tales. These entries were set in the mid-1980s, but GTA6 will tell a contemporary day Bonnie and Clyde inspired story featuring two characters named Jason and Lucia, based on early gameplay footage and leaks. Lucia would be the first playable character in the GTA series in a main game.

In 2022, over 90 videos were released from the development version Grand Theft Auto 6 were posted online on the GTAForums message board. The hacker responsible claimed to have accessed the videos — about 50 minutes of footage in total — directly from Rockstar Games’ internal Slack.
The videos show heists, gunfire, open-world driving, a police chase, a scene in a crowded nightclub, and fully dubbed conversations. The in-game footage was clearly not intended for public viewing, and elements of debugging programming were noticeable on screen at the time.
One of the longer videos showed a female player character robbing a bar and threatening the staff and customers, who reacted with fear when he pulled a gun on them. She and her accomplice then got into a shootout with the police before jumping into a police car and driving away. The game’s visuals are fairly realistic, but still in keeping with the style of GTA games.

Supposedly since 2014, though Rockstar only officially confirmed the game’s existence in February 2022.
What platforms will be GTA6 will be released?
GTA publisher Take-Two Interactive has announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in 2025. A PC version has not been announced. That’s nothing unusual for Grand Theft Auto games, though; the series has had staggered releases on consoles and PC, and the lack of an announced PC version certainly doesn’t rule one out at this point.
In May 2024 at a technology conferenceTake-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has addressed (albeit indirectly) the PC port issue GTA6saying that “the lack of an announcement is not something that can be permanently established, as far as I know.”
Another potential platform is emerging that could be home to Grand Theft Auto 6:Successor to Nintendo’s Switch. Rockstar has embraced the Switch with releases like Los Angeles Noire, red dead redemptionAND Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy – Definitive Editionso don’t rule out a possible release GTA6 on Switch 2.
How much GTA6 Cost?
Rockstar and publisher Take-Two have not yet announced a price, but it seems likely Grand Theft Auto 6 will cost $69.99, which is increasingly standard for big-budget AAA video games.
Don’t worry about these baseless rumors that GTA6 it will cost $150 or will be priced per hour, based on a misinterpretation Zelnick’s comments. There may be more exorbitant premium or collector’s editions GTA6 which will cost more than the standard $69.99, but hold off (and hold off on pre-orders) until Rockstar makes an official announcement.
