While everyone is patiently waiting for a Gothic remake, THQ Nordic announced that the original trilogy is transferred to consoles, arriving at PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4 and Xbox One in 2026.
Alternatively, Nyras’s demo for the Gothic remake is now available for playback on PS5 and Xbox Series, which was previously released only on PC.

Three games were originally released in 2001–2006 and became a real cult classic of the role-playing genre passion, of course that THQ Nordic worked with the full remaker of the first game!
What is a bit compelling is that Gothic 1 and 2 have already been moved to Nintendo Switch in 2023. However, at that time Gothic 3 was not brought to the conveyor and there is no mention of the switch for this fresh set of ports.
Although it will have a great trilogy on novel platforms, it will also be tempting to just wait for the Gothic remake, with the novel trailer of Xardas, which explores another of the key characters.

As mentioned, Nyras’s demo has now been moved to consoles, but we’ve already played PC. In our impressions from this story, Prologu Steve said: “Gothic 1 Remake has many promises, looking for the feeling and challenges of the original, while updating the interface and graphics to appeal to modern players. It is crying that Piranha’s bytes are no longer, but Alkimia seems to be honoring their divinity.”
