The free-to-play sci-fi shooter Goddess of Victory: Nikke will be celebrating its second anniversary, and to celebrate, it’s giving players plenty of goodies. There are fresh characters, fresh story content, a fresh mini-game, free recruitment opportunities and much more.
If you’re not familiar with Goddess of Victory: Nikke, it’s a third-person shooter from developer Shift Up, available for free on iOS, Android, and PC. You command a squad of android soldiers named Nikke, the last hope to reclaim the world from the hands of a cruel alien race called Raptures that has driven humanity underground.
The game is very popular – within two years of its release, it was downloaded over 45 million times around the world. To celebrate this success and give back to fans, Shift Up organized a large-scale anniversary event that continues to this day. The celebrations started on October 26 at live broadcast which included many rewards, both in-game and out-of-game.
There is a fresh story event called Old Tales that will allow players to see past events through Cinderella’s eyes. She was previously an enemy that players defeated during the Red Ash One Year Anniversary event, but now you’ll be able to see everything from her perspective and learn more about her.
Cinderella, Grave and Rapunzel: Pure Grace are three fresh characters added as part of the anniversary celebrations. All three are SSR Nikke, the highest Nikke rarity in the game. These will be accompanied by many free recruitment opportunities, making it the perfect time for newcomers to dive in.
If you log in during the Anniversary Event, you can claim up to 15 Advanced Recruitment Tickets and an SSR Nikke checkbox that allows you to choose between two characters for free recruitment – Snow White: Innocent Days or the fresh character Rapunzel: Pure Grace. The Cinderella Recruit event will give you one free recruit every day until November 21, while the Tomb Recruit event will also give you a free recruit every day from November 7 to November 28.
If you complete the Old Tales event, you will receive several rewards: 15 Advanced Recruitment Coupons, 15 Regular Recruitment Coupons, and 2 SSR Nikke Selection Boxes. Rewards for all of these events are cumulative, so if you participate in all anniversary events offered, you can receive many guaranteed free characters and dozens of free recruiting opportunities. This will give fresh players a good start to their journey.
But that’s not all. From the very beginning, Goddess of Victory: Nikke regularly adds fresh mini-games that diversify the gameplay. Added a tower defense minigame for the 1.5th anniversary and a cooperative minigame with Dave the Diver for this year’s summer event. This tradition continues with our second anniversary with the introduction of In the Mirror, an action platform mini-game centered around platform jumping.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke brings this celebration to the real world as well. He has partnered with Bushiroad to create the Nikke collectible card game, which will now be released globally for the first time. In the United States and Canada, it has partnered with milk tea brands Xing Fu Tang and The Alley to launch bubble tea under the Nikke brand and host pop-up in-store events.
This will include a special Cinderella-themed drink, and select stores will feature exclusive rewards and events for cosplayers. In Canada, Nikke’s collaboration with The Alley will run from October 28 to November 10. Their pop-up event will be held on November 9 in Toronto at Scarborough Town Centre.
In the United States, Nikke’s collaboration with Xing Fu Tang will run from November 13 to December 15. Pop-up events will take place on November 16 in New York at the Korean Town Store, on November 17 in Houston on Bellaire Blvd. and in Los Angeles, November 23 at Alhambra.
