Want to play Goat Simulator 3 on the go? I have some great news, as it was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct that the comedy simulator is coming to Switch.
As usual, no, you didn’t miss Goat Simulator 2 because 3 is really 2 because there’s no 2. Simple, right? Not really, but what’s basic is that the game will finally hit Nintendo Switch in a digital release later today, which was confirmed during today’s Nintendo Direct. An exact time hasn’t been confirmed yet, so if you’re desperate to wreak havoc as a goat and other animals in a game that’s not quite a simulation, you’ll just have to keep your eyes peeled. Those who prefer physical releases will be able to pick this game up in November, although again, an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed.
Goat Simulator 3 is a few years ancient now, having first released in 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and iOS and Android. I’m not sure why it took so long to release on Switch, especially considering it’s already available on mobile, but hey, better overdue than never, as they say. Like the previous version, you can still headbutt, lick, and explore everything in the game’s environment. There are character customization options, including a variety of different clothing options, and you’ll also be able to play online or couch co-op, which is always a plus.

Developer Coffee Stain announced that it was remastering the original 2014 version of Goat Simulator during Gamescom Opening Night Live last week, an announcement that came shortly after the Multiverse of Nonsense DLC for Goat Simulator 3 (which wasn’t mentioned in the Direct, in case you were wondering). No exact release date was given for the remaster, but it’s apparently going to happen sometime in 2024.
