In IGN’s review of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, writer Leana Hafer gave the game a 9 out of 10, saying: “Dragon Age: The Veilguard refreshes and revitalizes a multi-threaded series that has endured its middle years and leaves no doubt that it deserves its place in the RPG pantheon . The next Mass Effect will have a very difficult task, something I never imagined saying before I got sucked into this adventure. Fun combat, a fantastic cast of allies with their own deep storylines, top-notch cinematography, and moving, nuanced character writing are the wings on which this triumphant dragon soars, pulling out all the stops on a whirlwind journey across northern Thedas and capping it off with a grand finale that was built with memorably difficult choices and consequences, and if we never get another Dragon Age, at least it will be of a high standard.”
