With a modern movie on the horizon, it’s huge time for Shrek’s famed green ogre. And with that in mind, it’s no surprise that the film series is being catapulted back into the public eye, this time via Roblox. Developers The Gang have partnered with Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation to bring their famed green ogre to the gaming platform.
Shrek Swamp Tycoon, as it is called, is a tycoon game with a bit of obby. You will enter Shrek’s swamp and interact with characters from the film series. By collecting coins and finding hidden platforms, you will be able to create your own experience, resulting in a map filled with locations taken from the films, such as Shrek’s house, Gingy’s gingerbread house and others.
Naturally, this collaboration also comes with a ton of user-generated content to collect, like character heads from Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey. You’ll also be able to unlock even more exclusive features once you complete the entire experience.

While Shrek is mostly fondly remembered by some of our older readers, it’s clear that DreamWorks wants to re-engage a younger audience with Roblox. That’s why it’s no surprise that they’ve partnered with The Gang developerswho have produced numerous prestigious projects, working with brands ranging from Wimbledon to Nerf.
