Genshin Impact update 4.8 is just around the corner, with novel summer-themed content for you to enjoy. Coming on June 17, this isn’t just a limited-time event or a special set of rewards, but a massive, full-fledged addition to the game. So what’s being added? Well, let’s find out.
The first and most massive addition comes in the form of Simulanka, a novel time-limited map that features unique creatures and mechanics to explore. The novel map appears alongside Dendrie, a five-star polearm wielder Dendro, who is also being added.
There are also novel costumes for Kirara and Nilou, a seasonal event space (which is to be expected) with special rewards on offer, and event wishes on offer. This is a pretty large update, and it comes with a novel preview of what’s coming with Natlan added soon.
We won’t spoil all the novel mini-games, but one that caught our eye was the Northern Winds Gliding Challenge, which challenges players to soar through the air above Simulan, shooting down balloons and scoring points.

It’s occasional for a game to add something significant for a seasonal event, and while we’re sure some might be a little disappointed that the Simulan will only be with us for a restricted time, there’s more than enough time to enjoy it, as the novel update will hit platforms on July 17 and will be available for a significant period of time.
