Best Genshin Impact Kachina build focuses on just a few stats, as this excellent 4-star build doesn’t need anything more to shine. Kachina’s skills scale with defense, and her kit works equally well in a damage-dealing role or a support role if you have the right Artifacts.

Genshin Impact Kachina Weapon
Kachina, like most 4-star weapons, doesn’t have a signature weapon in the usual sense, but there is a recent Natlan weapon that fits it perfectly. It’s a polearm that can be crafted from Natlan, Rainbow Trail. It is the only polearm in Genshin 5.0 with Defense as a secondary substat, and Kachina needs Defense since its damage scales with it. Footprint of the Rainbow also increases the Defense of the character that equips it by 16/32 percent for 15 seconds after they operate an elemental ability.
Since Kachina needs Geo damage and defense, there is no need to invest in other stats. Crit rate and crit damage are helpful, although most treants combine these stats with others that Kachina does not need. If you do not decide to go with Footprint of the Rainbow, the next best choice is Catchwhich you can obtain for free by completing tasks for the Inazuma Fishing Association.
Catch increases the user’s Energy Regeneration as a secondary stat, while the passive increases Elemental Burst Damage by 16/32 percent and Critical Burst Hit Rate by 6/12 percent. Weapon Refining Materials can also be obtained from the Fishing Association, allowing you to obtain maximum buffs without any trouble.
If you have a spare Spear of Favoniusyou can also consider this for Kachina, although it’s a bit less impressive. This increases the user’s energy charge and creates a high chance that they’ll produce more energy particles during their attacks. Kachina’s explosion deals a lot of damage and costs 70 energy, so it needs a fair amount of charge, especially if it’s on a team without a character with an energy battery.
Kachina Artifacts from Genshin Impact
The best Kachina artifacts depend on the role you give her. She can fill a primary DPS slot, especially with high enough defense, but if you give her a recent Cinder City Hero Scroll you can play her as a sub-DPS who shifts around to utilize her abilities and provide support to her team with her Artifact kit.
- 2-Piece Set: The character who equips it regenerates six energy when a teammate triggers Nightsoul Burst
- 4-Piece Set: After the equipping character triggers an elemental reaction, all party members gain a 12% bonus to damage based on the elemental types used in the reaction. If the equipping character is in Nightsoul’s Blessing – which Kachina is often in – the party gains an additional 28% bonus to elemental damage used in the reaction
A more direct build that increases Kachina’s damage output and works well as a main or support DPS is The scale of opulent dreams.
- 2-Piece Set: Increases defense by 30 percent
- 4-Piece Effect: When the equipping character deals Geo damage to an enemy, they gain one stack of Curiosity. Outside the field, the character gains a stack of Curiosity every three seconds. Each stack increases their defense by six percent, and they can have four stacks at once.
Genshin Impact Kachina Stats
Kachina has a bonus stat of extra Geo damage, so your main focus should be defense, critical hit rate, critical damage, and energy regeneration.
- Sands: Defense
- Cup: Geo Defense or Damage
- Diadem: Critical Hit Rate or Critical Damage
Getting extra Critical Hit Rate or Critical Damage to your substats is fantastic if you can manage it, but Kachina’s numbers are pretty high even if you don’t crit all the time. Just make sure to give her some energy if you’re not using The Catch or Favonius Lance.
Genshin Impact Kachina Teams
Kachina can fit into most teams effectively, especially if using the Cinder City build. She is a quick and effective way to trigger Nightsoul Burst for other Natlan characters, so Mualani is an uncomplicated choice for a teammate, but she can also exist on her own in a team.
One composition is:
Mualani and Kachina both reduce the cooldown of Nightsoul Burst, and if Kachina casts Cinder City – which she should on this team – she can raise Mualani’s Hydro damage and your Pyro support unit’s damage. Throw an Anemo character into the mix to trigger Swirl and reduce enemy elemental resistances, and you’re in good shape. Mualani also benefits from Pyro when she triggers vaporize reactions, so that’s a nice bonus.
You can also create a team with her consisting mostly of Geo.
Navia is the primary damage dealer of this group, while Kachina – again with Cinder City equipped – triggers crystallization from your non-Geo units to assist buff Navia. Gorou is also there to raise the team’s Geo damage.
You can also make Kachina your main DPS with Gorou, give her Husk of Opulent Dreams, and fill out the rest of your team however you like. Really, she’s an excellent unit in both cases and can fit into any team that needs shields, Geo damage, or elemental buffs.
