The Genshin Impact 5.2 banners continue Natlan’s pattern of disrupting Genshin by using the up-to-date five-star Anemo character, who can exploit other elements and trigger the Vortex on her own. There is also Ororon, a gloomy emo and friend of the Traveler in Night WindClan. Honestly, he has good reason to wonder, considering how people told him that his soul had been damaged throughout his life and he wanted to die. You know, normal stuff.
Fontaine’s two friends also return and there is also Geo Archon who wants to say hello.
Below, we’ve covered the Genshin Impact 5.2 banners and what to expect from newcomers Chasca and Ororon. If you’re wondering what else HoYoverse has to offer, check out our Genshin Impact 5.2 review.
Genshin Impact 5.2 Banners – Chasca and Phase One
The first round of Genshin 5.2 banners will be released on November 20, 2024, when the up-to-date version update begins. The headline for the first round of banners is Crasha five-star Anemo character whose Night Soul movement mechanics allow her to float in the air. At first glance, she looks like a Wanderer with a Shotgun, but what sets her apart is her unique talents. Depending on your team’s elemental composition, Chasca’s skills and burst fire orbs that match those elements, meaning Chasca can trigger a Vortex without even having to leave the field.
Joining her in the second 5-star banner is LynaArcher Pyro of Fontaine. Lyney is a great addition to any team as long as he is paired with a healer. His charged shots deal massive damage and deplete his HP, giving him Props stacks. Using his skill clears stacks and deals even more damage to the Pyro, but if his HP is too low he will not generate Props. Use it with someone like Barbara or Kuki Shinobu to keep his HP at max while firing off charged attacks.
To listen is one of the 4-star characters on both banners. He is an Electro archer who creates projectiles that bounce between enemies, and also has a taunt ability that pulls enemies to a specific point, similar to Mona’s projection.
As always, HoYoverse has not announced who the remaining 4-star characters are.
Genshin Impact 5.2 Banners – Phase Two
The second round of Genshin 5.2 banners brings back two powerful five-star characters from years past. Neuvillette5-star Hydro catalytic converter user is one, and ZhongliGeo Archon and five-star polearm user is second. Neuvillette’s set also focuses on charged attacks, where he generates and consumes droplets that speed up his snail-paced charging animation. The attack reduces his HP, and then the drops restore it. Perfect for Furina if you have one.

Zhongli is Genshin’s ultimate shield generator, with a nearly impenetrable shield and an ultimate attack that petrifies all nearby enemies. There is no news yet of any of the 4-star characters joining these banners.
As always, HoYoverse will be displaying Epitome Invocation weapon banners featuring a selection of 4-star weapons with slightly increased drop rates and two 5-star weapons, one for each of the 5-star characters featured. As always, the chances of obtaining this signature weapon are extremely low. The 50/50 system, which means you miss a featured character once, guarantees you’ll get it next time, doesn’t apply to weapons. You can make a mistake once twice and only then will you be guaranteed another drop. That’s a lot of Primogems, so it’s definitely worth checking out other weapon alternatives.
