Gearbox confirmed that “discovering” how to add a field of view (FOV) to Borderlands 4 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S after complaints from console players.
When Borderlands 4 fired last week, the console players were shocked when they discovered not only the lack of a FOV slider in the game, but also without switching movement. The PC Borderlands 4 version has settings for both.
The lack of a FOV slider is currently the biggest problem with the Borderlands 4 on the console, if anecdotal evidence on the Internet is something that is up to the dud, complaining that the inability to improve the FOV value causes them to experience location disease.
The head of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, responded to complaints to suggest that honesty may have something to do with the lack of a FOV slider, although everything that commented was confusing fans, taking into account that the PC version has it and is playing for the premiere.
Now Gearbox has confirmed that it is acting on the problem, saying Statement published in social media:
“The hunters of the vault! We have heard your opinion on FOV (field of view) on the console. The team is currently investigating how to introduce these sliders to both the Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5 version. We will continue to read your opinion and prioritize the game updates, having in mind our experience.!”
There are suggestions in the Borderlands 4 version there is no FOV slider to maintain specific performance levels. By increasing FOV, you put equipment under a greater load and potentially affecting air conditioning.

Regardless of the problem, Borderlands 4 began a great start on Steam, where on Sunday it reached just over 300,000 simultaneous numbers of players.
