From Baldur’s Gate to Rogue Trader, Humble Bundle’s latest RPG-themed bundle is a terrifying attack on your time

There you are, wandering through the Interactive Entertainment woods with an empty backpack and a spring in your step. There I am, lurking behind a tree. Boom! You recoil in horror as I leap onto the path and hit you with a sack containing no less than eight venerable RPGs, from Baldur’s Gate to Warhammer 40,000: Rogue’s Trader – over a thousand hours of dungeons, dragons, dice rolling, dwarven shopkeepers and a whole lot of other stuff I refuse to alliterate, and all of it will (currently) cost you just £32.07.

Were you planning on spending this weekend playing some cute two-hour art game with no leveling? Shut up, you PISS. You’re going to play whatever the nice journalist tells you to! Better bring extra caffeine pills, because just getting through the character creations will take you until Monday.

The eight-match flood in question is the latest Humble packagewhich consists of RPGs and RPG remasters from Owlcat and Beamdog. The most steep version of the bundle provides Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous (and its season passes), Pathfinder: Kingmaker Enhanced Plus edition (and its season pass), Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition: Complete Adventures, Baldur’s Gate 2 Enhanced Edition, Baldur’s Gate 1 Enhanced Edition, Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition, and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition. In addition to this, you will also receive DLC and a discount coupon for Mythforce from Beamdog.

If the thought of buying everything at once makes your ears burn and spin like Roman candles, then I guess you can spend three shillings on Planescape and Icewind Dale. Or about five quid for both of those plus two Baldur’s Gates and Pathfinder: Kingmaker. I’m a forgiving man.

Or you can hold off on buying it until next week and spend your weekend playing the aforementioned art game that you are so passionate about valuable about – The latest Humble Bundle is still 19 days away, though as always, the price will change over time. What kind of art game is this anyway? Personally, I don’t have much time for massive RPGs these days, though I’m always tempted when I see them going for pennies. Honestly, the whole “attacking you in the woods” thing was basically a cry for lend a hand. Please, please come back. Recommend me a smaller game I can play instead of buying this bundle. I’m begging you.
