Black Beacon is the latest title of Glohow publisher, which he recently launched on mobile devices. It is a mythical RPG of science fiction with a story in which you travel in time and visit various epochs of history to prevent a disaster.
In this world there are mysterious substances known as navigation signals that seemingly oppose logic – change the size, shape and texture depending on who observes them and how they are observed. What remains consistent is their abyss black color (which gives it a name) and the fact that anomalies accompany them where finding them.
In the whole history of humanity, the phenomena created by these navigation signals were recognized as miracles or revelation, causing that they are worshiped as holy objects. The age-old people set them in the obelisks, sealed under the temples, or threw them into stained glass frames.
This is background knowledge, but the story of a black lantern refers to you by playing the viewer. You have been entrusted with the key to the Babel library, which is essentially an endless maze, which contains all possible permutations of the past, present and future. You get a vision of a catastrophic future, setting you on a time travel path to prevent it.
To achieve this, you must gather a team of heroes. It starts with Zero and Ereshan, who will join you at the beginning of the story. Zero is a mysterious guardian of the Babel library who shows little emotions and does not care about global events. Ereshan is the granddaughter of the former director of the Babel library, who was deprived of her heritage when zero appeared, which led to shame.
You will have the opportunity to add many other characters to your crew, from a polite nanna to the intimidating shamash to an elegant viola. During the premiere, over 10 characters are available, more of which can be added in the future.
You can take three characters for each fight; You control only one in time, but you can switch between them in flight. The skills of each character are found in individual renewal times, so you need to change them quickly and effectively to combine their attacks and skills in a silky fight.
The main story develops in chapters, which are further divided into several stages, some of which are purely cutscenes, while others are combat stages. Both develop history forward and include full voice acting.
After completing the stages you will get prizes that can be used to improve the characters or their weapons. Skill books are used to equalize the character, and each of them has unique skills that you can also level out. When the characters reach a specific level threshold, you will need specific elements to let them “break down” this threshold and continue to get the levels.
The weapon has a similar system. Each weapon begins with innate rarity measured at the star level to 5 stars. You can align the weapon to a specific threshold, and then employ elements for the “breakthrough” of this threshold and both power supply and increasing the assessment of stars.
You can get more elements necessary for the progress of characters and weapons outside the main history in the resource mode, which can be selected from the main menu. You can focus on positions to even, augment your skills or break the thresholds. Regardless of the selected version, you will receive modern combat meetings that provide prizes for completion, as well as specific goals for this stage, such as completing it at a specified time.
There is also an EX mode that basically acts as a tutorial to teach you how to employ specific characters and space space to improve with them. And if you want to take a break and just spend time with some of the characters in the team, you can do it.
