If there was an award for “Most Syllables in a Game Title,” Fragariamemories Color of Wishes would probably take it in a heartbeat. But beyond the fact that it’s just a mouthful of a name, there’s something quite fascinating here that blew my mind. It’s a fantasy adventure about knights sworn to protect none other than Hello Kitty herself. Yes, really.

Ateam Entertainment and Sanrio are co-developing this upcoming smartphone adventure, which is part of Sanrio’s broader Fragariamemories multimedia project. It’s a full-fledged chivalric fantasy with music, a plot and all the heroic flair I certainly didn’t expect from the company that gave us pastel rabbits and cute penguins.

Assumption? The land of Fragaria is in danger from mysterious creatures known as the Seeds. To protect the rulers of the three continents, Red, Blue and Noir, the Knights of Fragaria rise to defend their world. Leading the charge is Hallritt, who herself answers Lord Hello Kitty’s call. It’s all very noble and dramatic, and I won’t lie, a little absurd with Hello Kitty being the master and all.

There are 18 knights in total, divided into three units called Bouquets, each representing the color of its continent. Sanrio describes it as “an authentic fantasy story for a new generation,” which suggests we’re dealing with more than just cute mascots in shining armor, although let’s be forthright, that’s half the appeal.

It’s also a bold move for Sanrio, which has spent decades perfecting the art of cute branding. Now they enter a land of knights, quests, and moral codes, and if that’s not the ultimate cross between sweetness and seriousness, nothing is.

The release date of Fragariamemories Color of Wishes is not yet beyond 2026, but a trailer has already been released to set the mood. If this setup suits you, you may want to check out our list of the best RPG games on Android now!
