Fortnite Tops Tope iPhone after returning the App Store

Fortnite’s return to the iPhone and iPad saw a game storm at the top of the App Store charts – at least in the USA, where Battle Royale in Epic Games is finally available.

Fortnite’s return to the App Store this week occurs after a five -year break, during which Epic Games and Apple fought with a long legal battle.

Fortnite was launched from the iPhone App Store around the world in 2020 after Epic Games intentionally added his game payment system, which usually bypassed 30% of Apple cutting. Five years and over $ 1 billion of unsuccessful revenues later Fortnite finally returned – and his alternative payment system remains in place.

Over the day later, Fortnite is still sitting at the top US top free game chart In the iOS application store, before the recent Game of Thrones: Kingsroad and other evergreen titles, such as Roblox, Clash Royale and Call of Duty Mobile.

Apple was still based on Fortnite’s return, despite the fact that the American judge finally ruled this month that the iPhone giant must allow alternative payment options without punishment.

Then Fortnite spent days to the abyss, because the Epic Games reported to return was initially ignored by Apple, and then refused, which caused the perspective of fresh legal struggle.

“We Back Fam”, head of Epic Games Tim Sweeney wrote In social media this week as Apple, under further pressure, to allow Fortnite to return, eventually gave way.

“Thanks to all who supported efforts to open mobile and #freefortnite competition from the very beginning,” he continued. “And thanks to all people who initially on the Apple side later came to the winning side, supporting the rights of application programmers and consumer rights.”

Apple has not publicly commented on Fortnite’s return, and the questions remain about what exactly will happen. The iPhone manufacturer still wants to appeal against the decision of the US judge, and Fortnite remains inaccessible with the App Store outside the USA

For now, however, Fortnite has returned – and back to the top. IN.
