Fortnite Players Team Up to Criticize In-Game Tesla Cybertrucks: ‘Destroy on Spot’

Tesla’s polygonal Cybertruck has arrived in Fortnite, and fans… aren’t sure what to think about it.

The vehicle joined Epic Games’ wildly popular battle royale video game, as well as the Rocket League soccer car project, today, July 23. It’s a free reward for those who complete a series of challenges in the Summer Road Trip quest before August 6, and it’s also a cross-game unlock between those experiences. Completing all the challenges awards players the Cybertruck for their garage, as well as the Green Day Jam racetrack, Back Bling, wheels, and a few stickers, including a smashed window cosmetic.

In addition to the wave of players who aren’t thrilled about the wave of Cybertrucks coming to Fortnite, there are a few Epic Games developers who are just as unenthusiastic.

Epic Games Producer Kyle Wynn also he butted in on the conversation. In addition to reminding players that companies are made up of people with different thoughts and beliefs, Wynn says, “yes, also, strong focus on vision.”
