Fortnite Helpers, the adorable little animals that accompany you on your Fortnite adventures, have caused quite a stir among Fortnite fans – and not necessarily for the right reasons.
As described by Epic Games, Sidekicks are novel Fortnite buddies that join your adventures in Battle Royale, Fortnite Save the World, Fortnite Festival (your Sidekick will stay behind the scenes), LEGO Fortnite, and developer-created experiences (Helpers can only join you if the Island Developer has enabled Sidekicks on their island). They allow you to “enjoy their company and respond to the world around you.” You can design them yourself, including their personality and physical features, and they will all be saved as “permanent” details, but you’ll be able to change their name and accessories at any time – for example, hats, hoodies and the like. And no, they offer no gameplay advantages and cannot be harmed or killed in combat. (Phew!)
The first is Peels, a super cute puppy made of bananas that will be unlocked as part of tomorrow’s (November 1) Battle Pass. More, including Bonesy, Spike and Lil’ Raptor, will be released on November 7, with something for cat lovers coming “shortly after.” Bonesy will be awarded to players who own the Bonesy Back Bling backpack on the same day.
So far, very sweet, right? However, what really raises eyebrows is the cost. As shared on Fortnite subredditprices will vary, with Lil’ Raptor and Spike going for 1,200 V-Bucks and Flopsticks and Cuddle Team Jr. they will be a bit more pricey and will amount to PLN 1,500. Like some people pointingthat’s quite a high price for a novel feature, including the Fishstick Sidekick-themed Flopstick, which costs more than the original 1,200 skins.

But it gets even worse. Epic has confirmed that you can customize your Sidekick’s appearance one time, and it’s indefinite (however, you can unlock clothes for them and change them at any time). This means that if you want to change your pet’s color after making this initial, indefinite, one-time change, you must purchase the same pet again.
“You can customize the appearance of your helper one time after receiving it” Epic said. “You can purchase a Helper multiple times and give them different appearances, but each Helper customization you have in your locker must be unique. Duplicating appearances is not allowed.”
“Either set them at this price and set all styles to choose from, or lock the styles and set them to 500-600” suggested someone else. – If you do both, no one will care.
Don’t forget that Homer, Marge and company. coming to Fortnite on November 1, 2025with a mini-season that brings Springfield into Battle Royale mode. Not much is known about it, except that the villainous alien duo, Kang and Kodos, will be wreaking havoc on the Fortnite map after Fortnitemares 2025 ends, but here’s everything we know so far, including start times in your area, current trailers, and what to expect.
