Fortnite developer Epic Games has pulled back the curtain on the Chapter 6 update, confirming Godzilla’s arrival.
In Chapter 6, which begins on December 1, Godzilla terrorizes a fresh Japanese-themed map. Below, the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1: Hunters trailer shows off a number of other, smaller, Japanese-inspired bosses, as well as fresh weapons available to players, such as samurai swords. Baymax from Big Hero 6 has also been confirmed to appear.
Earlier this month, Epic Games announced changes to the Fortnite Battle Pass model, which will result in the price of the standard pass increasing for the first time. Fortnite has long offered its standard pass for 950 V-Bucks, but starting December 1, the price will raise by 50, bringing the total starting amount to 1,000 V-Bucks.
The actual cost of V-Bucks will remain unchanged (right now, you can purchase 1,000 V-Bucks on the Epic Games Store for $8.99), and you will still be able to earn portions of V-Bucks by achieving certain Battle Levels. Meanwhile, the price of the 25 Battle Pass reward pack drops from 1,850 to 1,800.
These changes appear before the long-awaited release of Fortnite OG: Chapter 1 – Season 1 December 6.
