For Freedom! The fan-made Helldivers movie is worth watching

If you like Helldivers, I recommend setting aside an hour to watch For Liberty! is a novel fan-made film based on Helldivers 2. It is extremely professional, with spectacular animation and a captivating soundtrack with familiar-sounding riffs.

It’s also very entertaining and shows the expansion possibilities of Helldivers along with the fascist regime hiding under the name Managed Democracy. There’s even a little Drag Race reference that I didn’t expect.

For Freedom! finds Helldivers on a planet where Automatons are conducting experiments on Terminids and creating cyborgs, but for what reason? The plot follows a female Helldiver as she investigates what’s going on and, of course, kills an awful lot of robots and bugs. It also cleverly uses the first-person perspective at key moments in the game and, like all good films in the series, announces a sequel right at the end of the credits.

Helldivers 2 proved to be a huge hit for Sony, with an Xbox X|S version coming later this year. Python Commandos Premium Warbond will launch on December 2, 2025 with three brand novel Stratagems and a novel primary weapon. A novel weapon that is a combination of an assault rifle and a grenade launcher called AR/GL-21 One-Two. It’s “heavy to handle, but its damage output is high too, making your main slot more versatile than ever with two guns in one!”

You’ll also get the belt-fed M-1000 Maxigun with a very vast ammo capacity, as well as a novel guard dog assistant armed with a flamethrower. There’s novel armor, novel emotes, novel capes, and all the usual cosmetic spools.

Together with Freedom! an official Helldivers movie is also on the way. The Helldivers movie will be based on Helldivers 2, but there is no confirmed release window, cast or even the story that will be told in the movie.
