Finally Avowed has some romance

Published:

Obsidian’s Avowed has just fell in advanced access to those who want to spend more by sending recent adventurers to living lands. Although they are there, they can discover magical objects and dangers, and apparently some love.

During the pre -space Avowed, Obsidian said that the game would not contain a dedicated romance system and instead he would focus on building “thoughtful relationships” with his companions. Here is a quote from the Ign interview with the director of Carrie Patel, explaining the thought process:

“We are building thoughtful relationships with our accompanying characters,” said the pan at the time. “Ultimately, I am personally a fan of creating this option, but I have the impression that if you are going to do it, you really have to commit yourself and make sure that you give everyone to fulfill this in this way both are faithful to the characters, but also creates an engaging impression of the player.

The first players and reviewers of AVOWED report that in fact at least one companion has eyes to your player’s character. Spoilers are formed In the case of specific interactions with a companion KAI, so if you want to avoid it, turn back now.

Warning! Follow the posted spoilers:

Gamesradar He reports that Kai, expressed by Brandon Keener (also Garrus Vakarian of Mass Effect), can end up in an affair with a player. Complete your personal task line, confess your feelings and apparently you will receive confirmation of your happily-credit throw.

I’m not far enough in my personal game to confirm so much, but PC Gamer met a similar dialogue in their game. Romance also seems to be agnostic sex, because the PC player played as a male character, and Gamesradar’s success was with a female figure.

This is a nice, small feast, especially for all Garrus fans. He wonders what has changed in development, but if love ultimately wins is all that really matters.

AVOWED is now available in early access, so if you are looking for an approach, be sure to check our review. When you finish, check the Ign guide that Avowed doesn’t tell you.
