In an interview with the Daily Star Final Fantasy VII Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that there are no plans for DLC for the second part of the trilogy. Instead, Square Enix is going full speed ahead with work on the final title Final Fantasy VII remake the trilogy.
“I think from my point of view what fans really want to see the most is not necessarily the DLC,” Hamaguchi said Daily Star in an interview on Thursday. “They want to see the third part of the series as soon as possible.”
