IN Fields of Mysterythere are quite a lot of them romantic characters that you can seduce by giving them gifts. You will encounter these characters in your everyday life, and those who want to jump into this romance will need to know exactly what to give them.
It is essential to remember that while there are romance candidates who will speak to you in a somewhat flirtatious manner, There are currently no dating or marriages in this early access stage of the game. Romance candidates have special cutscenes that unlock after reaching a certain number of hearts, but that’s it for now. More cutscenes, dating, marriage, and even having children are all features planned for future updates.
Below are all the romance options available Fields of Mysteryand some of the easiest early game items you can give them to get them. Note that our list is NO a complete list of liked and loved items, but rather a list of items you can get sooner than other items.
Fields of Mistria Marriage Candidates and Easy Gifts
As of this writing, there are 10 romance candidates online. Fields of Mysteryalthough there are rumors that more will be added later.
Adeline is the one who actually runs Mistria, being the daughter of the city’s barons. She’s the one who sends you quests to support restore the city.
At the beginning of the game you can give her Tulips (spring) and peaches (summer) to strengthen your relationship with her. You can collect tulips on the map, and peaches grow on a tree in The Narrows.
She loves peaches and creamwhich is made from peaches (picked in the summer), milk and sugar. (Her brother, Eiland, also likes peaches and cream, so stocking up on that would be beneficial for both of them!) She also loves coffeewhich you can buy from Balor’s Cart or the Sleeping Dragon’s Inn for 100 Tesserae, depending on their stock that day. You can also buy them from Darcy during the Saturday Market.
Balor is a cunning traveling merchant who helps you ship your goods.
At first you can give Balor rubieswhich are located on the early floors of the mine (floors 1-19). He also likes sapphiresAND emeraldsThe remaining gems can be found on later floors.
As a slightly more advanced gift, she also likes the perfect versions of the above gemstones, such as perfect rubies, perfect sapphiresand the like.
Celine is a gentle girl who studies plants and loves nature. She is also the daughter of convenience store owners.
Celine likes flowers, which makes her one of the easiest characters to build a relationship with. She likes every flower you can find, including lilacs, Tulips, dandelionAND daisies — of which you will find plenty in spring and summer.
She loves hydrangeaswhich are commonly found in summer on the Eastern Path map, east of Mistria.
Eiland is the son of the city’s barons and is more interested in archaeology than his sister. He often helps out at the museum.
Unfortunately, Eiland is one of the more tough candidates for marriage because he only really likes and loves cooked food. He likes candied strawberrieswhich you can cook using strawberries (grown in spring) and sugar. You can also buy them randomly from Balor’s cart for 250 Tesserae.
The island loves strawberry cakewhich only unlocks as a recipe after a certain amount of time, but can be purchased from Balor’s Cart and at the Sleeping Dragon Inn elsewhere for 600 Tesserae each.
Hayden is your neighbor to the west of your farm who also owns a farm. He specializes in animal care and you will buy animals through him.
Despite all this, Hayden likes most animal by-products, including eggs, cow’s milk, butterAND cheese — you can get all these items at the very beginning of animal breeding.
Hayden loves the perfect versions of the above items, which means giving him gifts he likes is a bit more tough, but once your pets start making things like golden eggs AND milk of the golden cowyou should be able to easily win his heart. Once you start collecting shiny beads from animal care (this requires unlocking the Currency of Care ranching skill), you can trade these beads for the chicken figurine at Hayden’s house for a chance to get these golden items, which will support you get them much sooner than usual.
Juniper is a sorceress who runs the bathhouse in Mistria. She also helps you uncover some of the mysteries behind the city’s magic (or lack thereof).
She likes witchy things like frogs and mushrooms. The easiest things to get to give her are red toadstoolswhich can be obtained by killing red mushrooms on the early floors of the mine (floors 1-19). He also likes Monster Powderwhich are also dropped by enemies.
Juniper’s favorite things, on the other hand, are a bit more tough. The earliest recipe you can cook for her that she loves is fruit moon cakewhich is unlocked by completing Juniper’s request for a moon fruit. Moon fruit is only harvested in the fall, so stock up while you can. She also loves crystal roseswhich constitute the material to be extracted in the deep underground part of the mine (levels 41-59).
March is a bit grumpy and is the town blacksmith. You’ll often see him and his older brother around town.
This is another candidate for a husband who is fairly straightforward to please – he likes ores and bars, which you should have plenty of if you’ve been in the mines. Any ore and ingot will do.
He loves perfect redheads like perfect copper oreSo if you have more, you can operate them too.
Reina is the daughter of the innkeeper and helps the family run the inn. She is the head chef at the inn and is a bit of a foodie.
Most of her preferences are food related, but she also appreciates some simpler ingredients like cheese, flour, riceAND sugar. That said, you’ll need an unlocked Mill to process Milk, Wheat, Rice Stalks, and Sugarcane properly — or you can buy Sugar for 115 Tesserae from the General Store.
Reina is another candidate who is mainly interested in food, so her favorite things can be strenuous to come by. The earliest recipe you can get is cabbage saladwhich requires cabbage (grown in spring) and fennel (harvested in spring). He also loves breaded catfishwhich isn’t so bad once you unlock the recipe via the bulletin board quest.
Ryis is a carpenter/joiner who helps build barns, extend the house, and other such jobs.
His favorite items are pretty uncomplicated and straightforward to obtain: wood, clayAND stone. If you’ve cleared out even a little bit of junk from your farm, you probably have a ton of this stuff, so you should consider gifting it to Ryis if you want to win his heart.
Most of Ryis’ favorite things are the gold versions of food and animal by-products, but he also loves strenuous woodwhich you can get by cutting down those gigantic tree stumps you see around Mistria (and on your farm). You’ll need at least a copper axe to cut them down though.
Valen is the town doctor, who you won’t actually see very often, as long as you’re careful and go to bed at 2am.
It’s a bit harder to appease her with things she likes. The easiest thing to do is to give her seaweedwhich can be found when diving in the ocean in those shadowy, bubbling spots that appear. She also likes dandelionwhich can be harvested in spring.
Like some others, her favorite foods are mostly cooked. We recommend deep soupwhich is made from three materials that can be found on the middle floors of the mine (floors 21-39): dulse jade, mining clams, and underwater kelp.
