Fields of Mysterya recent farming simulator and RPG game inspired by the Harvest Moon series and Stardew Valleyhas its fair share of charms. Its world has blooming pink and purple flowers, a witchy bathhouse adorned with crystals, and a lively cast of characters ready to welcome you and aid your character settle in. Among the NPCs, one in particular has caught the eye of players. It’s a dragon named Caldarus — and, well, now players want to fuck him.
Just like Stardew ValleyYes, Fields of Mystery has a romance system where you can meet and date certain NPCs. Most of the characters you can date are just regular people, like Reina, the cheerful town cook, or March, the moody blacksmith. However, as it turns out, there’s at least one unusual option in the Mistria dating pool. It’s Caldarus, the dragon spirit who inhabits the dragon statue on your farm. You meet him early in the game, after he appears in your dreams and asks you to restore Mistria. While Caldarus may seem ethereal in nature — so far, players can only interact with him through his statue — he’s entirely possible to date.
We know this because, like every other romanceable NPC, he has a little heart next to his name that indicates he is eligible for a bachelor. In response, people are losing their minds over the possibility of dating and possibly fucking a dragon. One person on Fields of Mystery subreddit said, “When can I fuck a dragon? It doesn’t matter if it’s a girl or a boy, I have to copy my donkey boy from Shrek.” Moderators removed the post, but its link lives with over 190 votes in plus.
Similarly, on TikTok, fans have shared videos in which they question the possibility of having sex with a dragon, and in some cases, actually desire it — like the person in the video below who says she’s in love with Caldarus.
Others simply want to express their devotion to Caldarus. The person below shared a video of how they affirm him every day.
Some have created works of art dedicated to Caldarus, even theorizing that the dragon will eventually transform into a man.
Unfortunately, we don’t know what the Caldarus romance will end up being like and whether players will actually be able to marry a dragon. Fields of Mystery is currently in Early Access, and players can only expand their romance options to four of the planned 10 hearts.
This should allow players to see recent interactions with characters that can be dated, but it likely won’t show the end of any of the relationships, as the in-game relationship menu shows a maximum of 10 hearts. As a result, we don’t yet know exactly where these relationships will take players. Polygon reached out to Fields of Mystery NPC Studio developer asks further questions about Caldarus romance options. The studio did not respond to comment, but we will update this article if we receive a response.
So if you are one of those players who are dying to fuck a dragon, well, you will have to wait until the developers update the game and see if it is possible.
