Thirsty fans are looking for all the information they can get their hands on Grand Theft Auto 6and some people think they found it in the image promoting the next one Grand Theft Auto online update. Digger? It has to do with the phases of the moon.

Grand Theft Auto online is a huge source of money for Rockstar Games, and as such the game continues to receive updates over a decade after it was first included in multiplayer in the 2013 game Grand Theft Auto 5. The next massive expansion is scheduled for December, but most people seem to focus instead on a single image used to promote upcoming content due to its potential connection to the future Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement.

“A waning gibbous moon in the latest Rockstar post” – Reddit user tnasstyy posted on the r/GTA6 subreddit November 1st. “The next moon phase will occur on November 17. Who let me out of the straitjacket?”

Further research by commenters has shown that the particular moon phase in the photo may occur a little later in the month, around November 22. But why is so much importance attached to the movements of the Moon and what does it have to do with Grand Theft Auto 6?

Many believe that this is not the first time Rockstar Games has given a trailer release date through the image of the moon. Two months earlier, the developer announced the release date of the first part on December 5 Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, posted a screenshot of Grand Theft Auto onlinein-game Moon Festival celebrations. The moon in this photo was a waning handful pointing to December 1, which happened to be the day of said announcement.

While the hypothesis itself is a bit of an exaggeration, this kind of enthusiasm is just what we’ve come to expect Grand Theft Auto community. In times Grand Theft Auto: San Andreasdie-hards became obsessed with finding Bigfoot lurking in the game’s gigantic swathes of wilderness, which took ten years and was finally rewarded when the cryptid showed up in Grand Theft Auto 5. People recently searched this single Grand Theft Auto 6 a trailer containing any information they can find, such as a brief shot of the serial numbers on a $100 bill, presumably indicating the year in which the game is set.

Rockstar Games did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In any case, we won’t have to wait long to find out if this so-called moon theory will prove true again.
