The Dutchman of Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to the world of Predator through the extended version of the animated film Killer of Killers-i sent fans of long-term science fiction fiction in the field of a rabbit hole, which undermines the ending of original films and what was considered the canon video game Predator.
This week, at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, the current predator guardian Dan Trachtenberg announced an unexpected extended version of Killer of Killer, which shows the Dutch from the original predator and Mike Harrigan Danny Glover from Predator 2 captured and frozen by Yauta. Trachtenberg said during the panel at Comic-Con that Schwarzenegger gave his blessing to apply Dutch in future stories, leaving the door to the killer of the killers in which Dutch and Co-what would arouse and fight against the predator again.

The extended version of Killer of Killers is now available, so fans are already analyzing it in one whole life. The reaction seems mixed. While some are excited about the return of iconic characters, some are disappointed with the idea that Yautja kidnaps the winning people. Let’s remember the iconic scene at the end of Predator 2, in which the older Yautja rewards Harrigan with a monument of Flintlock as a trophy. The suggestion is now that Harrigan has later been kidnapped and placed in stagnation, which some believe that he devals human victories seen in previous films of predators.
“It just seems to be shit, knowing that your favorite people who survived will simply be kidnapped and probably killed in the arena by another man or by the chief” said redditor vector_mortis.
“Why does Yautja congratulate Harrigan, give him a pistol and go out just to come back, take a gun and kidnap him?” Slow_OBLIGACIE2286 wondered.
“I’m not a fan at all,” added Hanesman12. “Harrigan and Dutch had good endings. Zero reasons why it had to be done. Pure nostalgia lure.”
“This removes everything we had previously knew about Dutch schedules and Harrigan after movies,” said Originalname888. “This removes the honorary code. It removes it all.”
Fans are now stopping over the potential explanation of what is happening here: that the whole kidnapping of human survivors is the work of the Yautja tribe, which we see in Killer of Killers, which does not represent Jautea as a whole. Perhaps this specific tribe has become dishonest and will eventually be placed in its place. At this time, we will have to wait and see, but what is indisputable is that now he is a canon that Dutch and Harrigan have been kidnapped shortly after the events of their films and remain in stagnation in this indefinite point in the future.
But there is an additional challenging question about a predator that rotates around the Dutch. 2020. Predator: Hunting Grounds, developed by Ilfonic, presents Arnold Schwarzenegger, who will repeat his role as Dutch. As part of the game, developers talked about working with people from the previous FOX rights holder (before Disney bought a company and its franchise) to cement the hunting place in the official Predator knowledge.
It was invigorating for fans, because it meant the fields hunting officially revealed what happened to the Dutchman after the events of the first movie Predator – and there was no mention of kidnapping by Yautja. Indeed, hunting areas show older Dutch in 2025.
So are hunting areas no longer canonical? Does Trachtenberg ignore it? Is there a different explanation? These are just some of the questions that fans are trying to answer after the return of the Dutch in Killer of Killers.
Regardless of the main plan of Trachtenberg, there is a huge interest in the upcoming predator: Badlands, of which the first 15 minutes is shown in Comic-Con. Alien franchise links are clear, but will there be an AVP movie later? We will have to wait and see.
