“We know we said it was coming soon, and yes, it took a little longer than expected, but it’s for a good reason — we enlisted outside help to improve performance, facegen, and LOD data, and it took us a while to get them up to speed, but *wow* what a difference,” he continued. “This update (and the accompanying video) will bring HUGE improvements, and we’re glad we held off to make sure all of these improvements were included in one patch!”

Headlines include some changes to LOD clip volumes that should aid reduce save file corruption issues for those visiting Islington or St. Paul’s Cathedral, as well as some initial regenerations that should “fix various random/repeatable crashes.” There’s also a whole bunch of quest fixes, including one that should prevent the inability to find a calling card during “Lay of the Land,” one of the issues I had to solve via console while playing Fallout: London.
There are also a bunch of gameplay fixes, including one to prevent you from accidentally ending up in the Bank of England before it’s discovered due to sleepwalking, and one to make sure the messages you get about ailments that affect you early in the game utilize exact percentages. There are also a bunch of item and NPC fixes, including one that means you can no longer eat Atkins robots because you’re a cannibal. Honestly, they probably don’t taste good.
Considering that the London MCM Comic Con, which Team FOLON will be attending, is starting on October 25th, if the modders manage to stick to their current plans, you won’t have to wait that long for this patch to go live.
