Fallout London was released tardy last month, but the massive, long-in-development mod is so riddled with bugs that Nic had to give up trying to play it. Its creators have already promised fixes, and now they’re saying a “massive” update is on the way, too.
“We have big plans for the future, starting with the fix,” he says. message shared on the FOLON team’s Discord server“This patch will address some crashing issues and include essential systems like ‘Buffout 4’ that will be merged into the mod itself. We’ve also identified a few other fixes that will provide immediate relief. We’ll also explain some features we’ve added that may not have been as useful as we thought, so stay tuned for those details.”
“The future is dazzling! We are already working on a HUGE fix that will address all the issues reported on our floaty-patrol Discord channel, as well as many quest issues and more.
“So the plan is: first a fix to stop it and help with crashes, then a big patch.”
The game’s creators also announce a gameplay broadcast for the creators their Twitch channel on Thursday, August 8 at 8pm UK time (2pm CST), where they’ll offer “behind the scenes” updates on the mod’s development. If you’re looking for lend a hand with bugs, they’re still offering “1-on-1 troubleshooting” for players via Discord.
Nic enjoyed what he was playing in Fallout London, but was overwhelmed by the fact that it repeatedly sent him straight to the desktop within a few hours. Hopefully these patches will fix that soon and send him back in search of Big Dave.
