EXILEDGE probably wasn’t on your PS5 wishlist, but this ChinaJoy 2024 The demo looks decent. While a vast portion of the demo is devoted to teaching participants the mechanics of the game, the second half of the video focuses on a boss fight that has a Returnal vibe. In addition to his dual-wielding weapon set, the protagonist also has a few skills that he can activate in combat to enhance his abilities.
Sony has signed this game with its China Hero Projectso he clearly sees potential here, and we think the production values look pretty impressive. It’ll be intriguing to see how the developer keeps this gameplay loop intriguing, because while the abilities look frosty, shooting enemies with large health bars can get tedious once the initial novelty wears off.
Regardless, it’s another promising project in the PS5 portfolio – we can’t wait to see more.
