Evo 2024 brings the best fighting gamers to Las Vegas this weekend for a three-day tournament. This year’s Evo is the largest in the event’s history, featuring over 10,000 unique competitors competing in games like Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Guilty Gear StriveAND Mortal Kombat 1.
At the top of being this fighting game tournament, Evo has also become a major news event. Publishers and developers like SNK, Warner Bros., and Arc System Works revealed novel games, character announcements, and release date details at Evo.
Here’s everything announced so far at Evo 2024.
Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice are heading to MultiVersus
Season 2 Multiversion begins July 23 and will bring with it a novel warrior Samurai Jack. Later in Season 2 — probably very close to the September premiere Beetle juice Beetle juice in theaters — we’ll see a novel fighter, Beetlejuice (confirming an elderly leak). Samurai Jack is a Bruiser-class character armed with a mystical katana and fancy footwork, as shown in the trailer, which also teases his Righteous Warrior Jack character variant.
In addition to Samurai Jack, the game will add a ranked mode and a novel stage, Warner Bros. Water Tower. Multiversion July 23.
King of warriors 15 adds mature and vice presidents
King of Fighters Vice and Mature veterans will be coming to King of warriors 15 this December, developers SNK announced at Evo 2024. They’ll feature their classic look and will be available as standalone fighting games — not as some kind of two-in-one offering.
The mature one made her debut in King of Fighters ’94A year later, Vice was released, debuting in King of Fighters ’95The duo will be released simultaneously in tardy 2024.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Adds Kevin Rian to Roster
SWAT Officer Kevin Rian Joins Squad for Next Year Fatal Fury: City of Wolves. Kevin made his debut in Garou: Sign of the Wolvesand just like in that game, he will employ explosive attacks to defeat his opponents. In fact, we see that Kevin intends to employ an explosive round to power up his punch to Terry Bogard’s face.
This Fatal Fury: City of Wolves The cast already has nine confirmed characters, with Kevin joined by Rock Howard, Terry Bogard, B. Janet, Marco Rodrigues, Preecha, Hotaru Futaba, Vox Reaper, and Tizoc. The SNK fighting game is set to launch in early 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos Released on Modern Platforms
The 2003 SNK/Capcom crossover game that brought together characters from Street Fighter, Fatal Fury, Darkstalkers, Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug, Mega Man, and more is now available on state-of-the-art platforms. SNK shadow-drop SNK vs. Capcom: Chaos on the SVC on Steam on Saturday and plans to release the game for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC via GOG on July 22.
New edition SNK vs. Capcom: Chaos on the SVC adds a netcode rollback mode and a tournament mode to the game, but other than that the game should play like its arcade counterpart.
Uzuki for Under Night In-Birth 2 Sys: Celes
Black Monger, also known as Uzuki, arrives at As part of Night Labor 2 Sys: Celes next week, July 25, Arc System Works and developer French-Bread have confirmed their participation in Evo. Uzuki is the first of three characters available as part of Uni2 Season Pass. Uzuki will be followed by Ogre in February 2025, and Izumi in August 2025.
Hunter × Hunter: Nen × Strike
New 3v3 Fighting Game Hunter x Hunter From Eighting – Fighting Game Co-Creators Marvel vs Capcom 3, Tatsunoko vs CapcomAND DNF Duel — coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC in 2024. Publisher Arc System Works has confirmed the final list Hunter × Hunter: Nen × Strike at Evo, showcasing Meruem in gameplay and confirming Kite, Morel, and Razor’s presence by releasing the game opening movie.
