All Wander have just landed on iOS and Android, restoring the classic Roguelike experience to the fingertips. Developed by the solo programmer Michael Weil, this independent is a return to the roots of this species, in which the strategy, experiments and a bit of luck determine how far you get. It is only a loop of survival, discovery and inevitable failure before trying again.
In all who wander, you will start with choosing 10 different character classes, from elementary warriors to more unusual compilations, such as Illusionists or Voodoo Rangers. Each class plays differently, but there are no restrictions. Each character can learn any of the 100 skills or equip any subject, which gives the freedom to experiment with combinations on 10 skill trees.
The world itself is just as crucial as your compilation. Everyone who uses a 3D map, based on a hexagonal map, which changes every time you play, with six biomes and six dungeons to discover. You will wander through snowy tundra, deserts, swamps and caves, each filled with threats and surprises.
Some functions support you, such as high grass, which can hide you or be in cells, while others, such as changing sands or curses, force you to adapt in flight. Each run seems different, and thanks to Permadeath always hangs over you, every choice matters. And because the project is still in dynamic development, you can still expect the recent content to be gradually releasing.
