Bob tries once again to cook the perfect turkey. This time it’s about a three-day brine. However, a few days before Thanksgiving, Bob and the family wake up to find a turkey in the toilet. Bob puts it back in place and the next day it ends up there again. What’s going on?!
While the mystery of the turkey in the toilet is intriguing and has a very witty and sweet explanation, the real reason this episode is so crucial is that it captures the feel of a soiled Thanksgiving week. Family members (in this case Gayle) arrive and cause problems, children wanting to sit at the adults’ table and trying to cook a huge turkey perfectly.
Oh, and that includes it too one of the best pieces in all Bob’s burgersinvolving a deli counter employee who believes that Bob’s visits for more turkeys to trade are actually an attempt to lure him into a romantic affair. Not only is this the show’s best Thanksgiving episode, but it’s probably a contender for the best episode of the entire series. So watch this Thanksgiving again and enjoy.
