The collaborative relationship between LEGO and Nintendo, two global leaders in family-friendly entertainment that operate in the adjacent fields of toys and games, began with the release of LEGO Racers in 1999 on the N64. Since then, at least one Lego game has been released on the Nintendo platform, and multiple Nintendo-themed LEGO sets have been released every year since their 2020 debut.
The Lego-Nintendo synergy continued through the Switch era, and with Switch 2 We’re officially looking at Lego’s legacy on Switch this year.
How many Lego games are on Nintendo Switch?
From January 2025, 17 Lego games have been released on SwitchFrom Lego Undercover City in 2017 to the PlayStation collaboration Lego Horizon Adventures in 2024. Of the 17 games, seven are Lego originals and 10 are licensed collaborations with other intellectual properties.

In April 2017, a month after the console’s launch, the first game in the series LEGO City Undercoverwhich is an original Lego game originally released for Wii U in 2013. It is based on the LEGO City series of building sets and tells the story of an undercover police officer tracking an escape.
LEGO Worlds (2017)

Lego worlds is another original game released on Switch in 2017. Worlds is the most original Lego game available on Switch; It moves beyond the regular action genre of the series into the world of sandbox games (Think Minecraft), allowing you to build structures and environments brick-by-brick.
The Lego Ninjago Movie video game (2017)

The LEGO Ninjago video game is, as its name explains, an adaptation of the Lego Ninjago movie. The game and film, both based on LEGO’s own Ninjago line, were released in the US on September 22, 2017. The action-adventure game features eight locations and several playable characters from the film.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 (2017)

Lego Marvel Super Heroes He draws characters and locations from both Marvel movies and comics, with Huge game characters that (probably) include every Marvel hero and villain you can think of. It is a direct sequel to Lego Marvel Super Heroes that ultimately pits you against the traveling villain Kang Kang.
The first game is also available on Switch, although you’ll find it further down this list – it hasn’t been ported until 2021.
Lego The Incredibles (2018)
Another LEGO-Disney collaboration, Lego The Incredibles combines stories from both films, the 2004 and 2018 sequels to the original. The game was released alongside Incredibles 2 in June 2018. Features over 100 playable characters, including all five members of the Parr family.
Lego DC Super-Villains (2018)
Lego DC Super-Villains is a Lego Batman spinoff that focuses on a collection of villains from the deep history of DC Comics, including the Joker and Lex Luthor. The villains must navigate the internal threat of personality conflict while pursuing a mysterious justice syndicate. This is notably the first Lego game to center its story around a player-created character.
The Lego Movie 2 Videogame (2019)

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame is a tie-in to the film that has largely been knocked down for its lack of originality and innovation. The game combines elements of time-honored Lego action games with building elements introduced to Lego worlds.
Lego Jurassic World (2019)

Originally released alongside the film in 2015, Lego Jurassic World He came to change four years later in 2019. It features a 20-level campaign with five levels from each film that had been released up to that time (Jurassic Park 1-3 and Jurassic World). In addition to characters from Jurassic World Movies, you can unlock playable versions of the franchise’s main directors, Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow.
Lego Builder Journey (2021)

The LEGO Builder Journey has come to a change in 2021 after debuting on Apple Arcade in 2019. While most LEGO games involve puzzle solving, Builder’s journey is all about puzzles. It’s a beautifully designed game that tells its geometric puzzle game on a father-son basis.
Lego Marvel Superheroes (2021)

First released in 2013, Lego Marvel superheroes I didn’t come to Switch until 2021. It tells an original story with some of Marvel’s most recognizable heroes – Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Captain America and more – joining together to thwart the apocalyptic plans of Doctor Doom and LOKA.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (2022)

The ultimate Lego Star Wars experience, The Skywalker Saga Re-features scenes from all nine Skywalker films: the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy and the sequel trilogy. This extensive collection includes over 300 playable characters, 23 planets and 100 vehicles. Compared to previous LEGO games, The Skywalker Saga gets closer to the action by moving the camera from a magnified third-person perspective to a more powerful over-the-shoulder view. Considering the sheer number of LEGO Star Wars, it’s no surprise that it’s one of the best Star Wars games of all time.
Lego Brawls (2022)

Lego Brawls is the worst game on this list, based on Metascore (46). It is an accessible fighting game inspired by Smash Bros. Originally released for Apple Arcade in 2019. Brawls includes over 100 minifigures/fighters from over 10 LEGO sets, including Ninjago and Jurassic World.
Lego Bricklals (2022)

Lego bricks is an original, puzzle-driven adventure similar to the LEGO Builder Journey, albeit on a larger scale. The game takes you to Dioramas set in jungles, deserts, cities, medieval castles and tropical islands. Brickles was made by Clockstone Studio, a developer best known for its bridge builder series.
Lego 2K Drive (2023)

LEGO 2K Drivefrom Prolific Sports Game Developer Visual Concepts, is a racing game in the open world of Bricklandia. 2K Drive is a solid racing game with street, off-road and water racing; story, single race, tournament, minige and free steps modes; and a custom car builder that our review called “excellent.”
Lego Fortnite (2023)

Lego Fortnite is a collection of Lego-themed games that feature Fornite. Epic Games and the Lego Group have created several Lego Fornite experiences since the partnership began in delayed 2023. Among the current ways to play are a game called Odyssey, an online RPG called Brick Life, and a designer game called Lego Islands.
Lego Horizon Adventures (2024)

The franchise’s latest game is Lego Horizon AdventuresCollaboration between PlayStation guerrilla games and the English support studio Gobo. It’s a repeat of Zero Dawn’s horizon, simplified and sanitized for a wider audience that leans into the combat mechanics and platform of LEGO action games before it.
Upcoming Lego games on Switch 2
There are currently no novel LEGO games announced for the Switch or Switch 2 – or any platform for that matter. However, we expect to see novel LEGO games at some point, and most (if not all) of them will be released on the Switch and/or Switch 2.
