“Even the basic enemy had to be more complicated, more intelligent” – Team Cherry explains why Silksong is more arduous than Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight: Silssong’s Store-Classhing Launch can be behind us, but a debate is ongoing about his difficulties.

Silksong This is one of the biggest games of the year, hitting the huge relevant numbers of Steam players along with the positive reception of critics. But among the emotions associated with the long continuation of Team Cherry is A debate in the community about whether the game is too arduous – maybe even unfair. No wonder Silksong’s mods dominated by those that make the game easier.

IGN has already informed how some Silksong players expressed criticism in social media, subreddits, disagreements and reviews of Steam about the scaling of difficulties in the game and the brutal runbaks. Is One very early miniboss also causes many players a whole number of troubles.

“Is it only me or some of the things that make silksong” arduous “just cruel?” Redditor Machi-Teat wondered. “The game has artificially inflated difficulty and playing time due to the number and tasks related to the law,” we read in the post Couple.

Now, talking about starting A novel exhibition oriented to Games in Australia National Museum of Screen Culture, ACMIHe participated and reported DexertoAri Gibson and William Pellen from Team Cherry took Silksong’s difficulties for the first time since the game.

Gibson said that because the novel playable character Hornet is “faster and more skillful by nature” than the knight from the first game, Team Cherry had to hinder enemies.

“Hornet is by nature faster and more skillful than a knight, so even an enemy at the basic level had to be more complicated, more intelligent,” said Gibson.

Pellen revealed: “The basic warrior of ants is made of the same movement as the original head of Hornet.

The Cherry team also generally talked about their Silksong design philosophy, insisting that by presenting the player a choice of choice to constantly turn away from the main path, they are able to dance around the infamous, steep Silssong curve.

“Silksong has some moments of steep difficulties,” Gibson admitted, “but the part of enabling a higher level of freedom in the world means that you have elections all the time about where you are going and what you do.”

Gibson also reminded players who for many hours fight with a specific boss that “they have ways to alleviate difficulties through exploration or learning, and even completely bypass the challenge, instead of being Stonewalled.”

Despite this, Silksong’s first patch after an early match made it easier, so Team Cherry clearly confirmed that the game was at least partly tuned too much in the release. The second patch will end soon.
