Enotria: The Last Song won’t be coming to Xbox at the same time as PS5 and PC, developer Jyamma Games has announced, due to issues accessing the game’s page on the Microsoft Store. The game will still release as planned on September 19 for PS5 and PC, but the Xbox Series version has been delayed indefinitely.
“We understand how disappointing this news is for the Xbox community,” the team writes. “Unfortunately, despite our best efforts and the demanding work of our dedicated team, we have encountered challenges that have delayed our launch on the Xbox platform. We want to emphasize that this is not a decision we have taken lightly.
“We apologize for any disappointment this may cause and sincerely thank you for your understanding and patience. As a self-publishing indie studio, your support means everything to us and we are committed to bringing Enotria to as many players as possible.”
In the supplementary statement Insider GamingJyamma Games CEO Giacomo Greco revealed that it is not a technical issue with the game on the console, but rather an inability to access the game’s page on the Microsoft Store. The studio has been in touch with Xbox support staff, but is still unable to access the store’s backend and submit the game for release.
This is a really strange situation and I’m sure Microsoft will try to resolve it now that the issue has hit the headlines and attracted public attention.
Enotria is the latest game to enter the Soulslike arena, presenting an intriguing setting inspired by Italian mythology and landscapes. Players embark on a quest and battle the Authors in an attempt to put an end to their age-old art, Canovaccio.
