Elden Ring players have discovered a unthreatening way to quickly defeat one of the main bosses of Shadow of the Erdtree, Rellana, Knight of the Twin Moon.
The exploit works without having to set foot in the arena, by traveling to the Scadu Altus area before visiting the Castle Ensis hereditary dungeon. Spotted by user X/Twitter ZiostormPlayers can defeat Rellana by casting long-range spells while standing in contact with the rear fog gate of the boss chamber.
“It turns out you can trick Rellana by going to the back fog wall at Highroad Cross and using Flame of the Fell God,” they wrote, referring to the Incantation that fires a fireball. “It will fly into her arena and explode.”

While FromSoftware likely didn’t anticipate Shadow of the Erdtree would play out this way, players can access the Atlus Scad and thus exploit the loophole by using spirit sources, as explained in a video by YouTuber Laser screw.
Repeatedly using the spell will eventually cause Rellana’s health bar to drop to zero, at which point the Mist Gates will disappear. Players will receive 240,000 runes, a Remembrance to trade with Finger Reader Enia at Roundtable Hold, and perhaps a slight sense of guilt.
