Ring of Fire and The shadow of the Erd tree DLCs are known for their tough-as-nails bosses. Luckily, one crafty developer found a fun and satisfying way to utilize these baddies.
A mod published on NexusMods allows players to summon defeated bosses to the battlefield as allies. In other words, it’s time to send the demigod Messmer as your personal Pokémon to defeat other bosses.
NexusMods user FlippantTunic22 created the mod, which is now available for everyone to download. You can watch full list on the websitebut it contains 11 bosses from The shadow of the Erd tree DLC. A few highlights include the ability to summon the Messmer Impaler, Golden Hippo, and Divine Beast Dancing Lion.
YouTuber KanesGrace shared a video showing the summon in action. In the video, the creator attempts to defeat each boss using other bosses as summons. While KanesGrace has a tough fight against the Dancing Lion, the journey becomes easier later on — after obtaining the Dancing Lion as a summon, this boss can one-hit some of the other bosses. Other challenges, such as the one where KanesGrace summons Messmer against Putrescent Knight, are more evenly matched thanks to the stats of the summoned boss.
